An independent helper, not an official KVS tool. Portal Assist is made by Medha to make your admin work faster. It is not made, given or approved by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Samagam is the official portal: you sign in yourself, check every value, and save it there yourself.
What Portal Assist does for you.
Training certificates → Samagam
Choose your certificates — PDF, photo or scan, offline or online (iGOT Karmayogi, DIKSHA and more). Medha reads each one on your computer: course name, organiser, venue, dates, days, hours, role. Every value says how sure it is (Sure · Likely · Check this). Copy each into PIS → CPD → Add Course, or let the Chrome helper fill the form. The certificate file is made under 200 KB.
Student details for Samagam
Make one link for your class and share it on your class WhatsApp group. Parents fill it on their phones — no account — with Samagam’s own choices: each parent’s mobile, qualification, employment, occupation, designation, organisation, income and photo (made white-background and under 200 KB on the phone), the home address, and the category certificate (its number, authority and date read on the phone). You see one tidy list, with every value ready to copy.
Make a file under 200 KB
Any photo (including iPhone HEIC) or PDF of any size becomes a copy of 200 KB or less, ready for any portal. Your original is not changed.
Convert a file
Word (.docx) to PDF; PDF or a photo to an editable Word file — a scanned page is read with OCR. Then make the PDF under 200 KB in one more tap.
It fills Samagam. You press Save.
A small Chrome extension on your computer. In your own Samagam tab, it fills the CPD Add Course form, and a student’s Basic details (category certificate), Guardian (both parents, with photos) and Address pages from your parents’ answers. Before it fills a student’s page, it checks the names on the page are that child’s.
- It never signs in for you and never sees your password or OTP.
- It never presses Save, Update or Add Course — you check first, then you do.
- It keeps what it was given only in Chrome’s memory, for 12 hours at most, and forgets it all when you sign out of Medha.
- It only works on the Samagam website.
Teacher, principal, parents.
Portal Assist is only for teachers — Medha keeps no class register, marks or children’s records for a Vidyalaya.
The teacher
Reads her own training certificates into Samagam, makes the parents’ link for her class, opens the answers with her five lock words, copies or lets the Chrome helper fill Samagam, and presses “Entered in Samagam” to delete each family’s details. Uses the file tools for any portal.
The principal and the office
Approve the Vidyalaya’s teachers, add them from one list, and give the principal’s OK for Student details for Samagam — it is switched on for the school only then. They never see the parents’ answers.
The parents
Open the teacher’s link on their phone — no account, no app. Fill Samagam’s own choices; the phone makes the photos white-background and small and reads the category certificate. They can change or withdraw their answer until the last date.
Only you can open the parents’ answers.
Locked on the parent’s phone
Each answer is locked before it leaves the phone. Only your five lock words open it, on your computer. Medha cannot read it — not even the child’s name.
Nothing else sees it
Not other parents, not other teachers, not Medha’s team. Certificates and converted files never leave your computer at all.
Deleted when you’re done
Press “Entered in Samagam” and that family’s details are deleted for good. Anything left goes 60 days after your last date.

How a Vidyalaya starts.
- Message or call us — on WhatsApp or by phone. We set up your Vidyalaya ourselves; teachers then join with the school code or from one list.
- The principal agrees to Student details for Samagam (it collects parents’ details), and we switch it on for your school.
- Add the Chrome helper — download it from your Medha page; it takes two minutes.
- Start with one certificate — and one class link for parents.
Honest notes.
- Not an official KVS tool. Portal Assist is an independent helper made by Medha; it is not made, given or approved by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Samagam remains the official portal.
- Portal Assist is for teachers; Medha keeps no class register, marks or children’s records for a Vidyalaya.
- The Chrome helper works in Google Chrome on a computer. For now it is added with Chrome’s “Load unpacked” (steps on your Medha page); some school computers don’t allow that — copying each value works everywhere.
- Certificate reading and Samagam forms are for Kendriya Vidyalayas. Teachers of other schools can use the two file tools.
- Always check each value before you save it in Samagam — especially from a blurred photo.
