Medha for child development centres

Every child plays — at their own pace.

For children with developmental needs, and the therapists and families around them. Each child gets the settings that suit them — fewer choices, more time, captions, calm screens, one-button play, pictures to talk with — and progress is only ever compared with the child’s own last week.

The support system

Set once, for the child — not a separate app.

The therapist or the parent sets it, for one child or a whole group. Other children see no difference.

Pace and choices

Two or three choices on screen (or automatic), slower pace, and help when the child is stuck. Shorter sittings, easiest questions first.

Captions

Show everything that is said — or show it and skip the games that need hearing.

One button or switch

The screen steps through the choices; one press chooses. Easier tapping for small or unsteady hands.

Pictures to talk with

A talk board of picture cards the child taps to say what they want — available even after play time ends.

My Day

A picture plan of the day, and “keep things the same” for children who need routine.

Ready-made presets

Fewer choices and more time · Quiet and calm · Show everything said · One button · Keep things the same · Pictures to talk with.

Support for every kind of need

Set up around how each child learns.

Centres work with children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language delay, and many other needs. This is where therapists usually start; then they adjust it for each child.

Autism

“Keep things the same” for a steady routine, a My Day picture plan, calm screens without music, two choices at a time, and a talk board of picture cards.

ADHD and attention

Short sittings and three-turn games, fewer games open at once, fewer choices, help when stuck, and today’s focus game at the top of the home screen.

Dyslexia and early reading

Every instruction spoken aloud, letter sounds one at a time, guided letter tracing, picture–word matching, and a slower voice when needed.

Speech and language delay

A talk board the child taps to say what they want, with your own words added. Answers are always by tapping, so no child has to speak to play.

Hearing difficulty

Everything that is said is shown on screen. Or show it and skip the games that need hearing.

Motor difficulties

For cerebral palsy, dyspraxia and unsteady hands: easier tapping, or one button or switch that steps through the choices.

Slower pace of learning

For Down syndrome and global developmental delay: a slower pace, the easiest questions first, shorter sittings and help from the first question.

Sensory sensitivity

Quiet and calm screens: no background music and simpler, less busy pictures, at a pace the child is comfortable with.

Needs, not labels. Medha does not diagnose and never shows a diagnosis to anyone. The settings follow what each child needs, so a child can have any mix of them, and the therapist or parent can change them any time.

Progress from real play

Reports built from what the child really does.

No tests and no exam days. Every game a child plays quietly shows what they can do, and Medha turns that into reports teachers, therapists and families can trust.

Every game counts

Each answer in a game is evidence for a skill: sounds, letters, counting, colours, matching, feelings and more. It is kept only after the parent agrees.

Over days, not one try

A skill moves Seed → Sprout → Bud → Bloom only when the child shows it again on different days, so one tired or lucky day changes nothing.

Reports in plain words

The Holistic Progress Card (following NCF-FS), each day’s games for families and PTA notes, all filled from play. The teacher adds what they see in class. No marks, no percentages.

Against the child’s own last week

Each child is compared only with themselves: days played, new games opened, skills that moved. Support plan goals are read from the same play. “Who moved, who is still” shows the team where to look.

What each person gets

Made for a centre — therapist, office, family and child.

Your words throughout: “therapist”, “centre”, Levels 1 to 4.

The therapist centre

Each child’s plan, set once, and progress in kind words.

  • Learning settings for one child or the whole group — pace, choices, captions, calm screens, one button, pictures to talk with.
  • Support plans — accommodations, one or two goals that Medha suggests, progress read from the child’s own play, and the next review date.
  • “Support plans” card — whose plan is due for review, so none slips.
  • Observation checklist — a stage from Seed to Bloom for each skill; a height and weight chart.
  • Who moved, who is still — each child compared only with their own last week; one concrete thing to try.
  • PTA notes — a five-minute script for each family, never a deficit word (“is learning to”, never “cannot”).
  • “Practise this” and the daily report — send a topic to the top of one child’s home; see who played today and which skills.
  • Play as the child on your device, without using the child’s home screen time.
  • Ask Medha — ideas for a group session, with children’s names hidden from the AI.

The centre office

The everyday running of the centre.

  • A typical centre day to start your timetable from centre
  • Register and daily care card — who came, mood, meals, rest and a note for the family.
  • Fees — families pay your UPI ID; you confirm and a numbered receipt is sent.
  • People — approve therapists and families, add staff from one list, invite codes.
  • Notices, calendar, cab and pickups — the same tools a school uses, with phone alerts for families.
  • Centre overview — daily use, sign-ups and how each group is doing; see exactly what a child of any level sees.
  • ID cards — families give the photo and details; print by group; remind those still missing.

The family

The centre’s plan, carried on at home.

  • The same settings at home — what the therapist set follows the child onto the parent’s phone and the TV.
  • The support plan in plain words, and the Holistic Progress Card — no scores, no labels.
  • Talk board and My Day — picture cards and a picture plan of the day, at home too.
  • Find a topic and Ask Medha — play any topic with your child in one tap; ask a few questions a day.
  • Calm, short play — a daily limit the parent sets (following the PRAGYATA guidelines), a 4-digit PIN and Kid Lock. TV play uses the same time and stops when it is up. Therapy sessions led by the therapist do not use it.
  • Alerts on the phone — reached, collected, unwell, the cab, notices and fees, the moment they happen.
  • Today at the centre — reached, the daily care card, who collected.
  • Your child’s data — agree first; see, download or erase it any time.

The child

Play that waits for them.

  • A gentler start — the easiest questions first, shorter sittings, fewer games open at once.
  • Spoken every time — and captions for children who need to read it.
  • One button or a switch — the screen steps through the choices; one press chooses.
  • Stickers for trying — never a count of right answers.
  • The Grove — a little world that grows as the child plays, and a fresh theme each week.

Our promise

Kind words, always.

Medha never labels a child. There are no scores, no ranks and no deficit words — “is learning to”, never “cannot”. Every child is compared only with their own last week. Parents agree before anything about their child’s learning is kept, and can see, download or erase it any time.

Good to know

Honest notes.

  • Medha supports a therapist’s work; it does not diagnose or replace therapy.
  • It speaks to the child but never listens — children answer by tapping (or one button).
  • The support plan and the talk board are switched on per child; nothing changes for others.
  • A web app — any phone’s browser, a tablet or a TV. No app store.
